Incheon Airport Maglev Train

Incheon Airport Maglev Train stands for the magnetic levitation train.

It runs from Incheon Airport to Incheon’s Transport Center and Yongyu Station, from where you can connect to Seoul Subway and AREX in order to transfer to Gimpo Airport.

It is not the best way to go to Seoul right now as it is under construction already, but it is a quick way of transportation if the stops are near places you need to go. 

WHAT IS MAGLEV TRAIN?

Maglev stands for Magnetic Levitation Train, which uses magnets to move. In consequence, it is an elevated train, with no friction at all and also a high-speed train. 

MAGLEV ROUTE

The Maglev train was opened in 2016 and consists of six stations, 6 kilometres long to an operating speed of 110 km/h.

The route starts at Incheon Airports and has the following stops along the way: Long-Term Parking, Administration Complex, International Business Center, Water Park, Yongyu Station.

Schedule

Departs from Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 every hour at 00, 15, 30, 45 minutes, and leaves from Yongyu Station every hour at 01, 16, 31, 46 minutes.

Location

Incheon Airport Maglev can be board at Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 Station (Incheon’s Transport Center).

It is located in Incheon International Airport Transit Center, Floor 2. 

Fares

Service is free for all passengers.

Present and Future

It is expected that a couple of stages of 9.7 km and 37.4 km will be completed in the near future, becoming a circular line.
